Full IT infrastructure fit-out for Baulkham Hills Radiology
Coordinated build for a live imaging site: HP clinical workstations, Fortinet HA networking and Wi-Fi, Voyager RIS/PACS with Ripple, LG diagnostic displays, 3CX voice, resilient internet, and Trucell managed operations.
Baulkham Hills Radiology needed infrastructure that could keep pace with reception, reporting, and imaging workloads without trading security or uptime for speed of delivery. Trucell delivered an end-to-end fit-out: structured cabling through to managed operations, aligned to how the practice actually runs day to day.
An IT infrastructure fit-out is the work of preparing a site so hardware, software, and cabling support clinical and business systems reliably—servers, network, power, structured cabling, and the policies that govern them.

Scope and outcomes
From front desk to reporting rooms, the goal was dependable performance for imaging workloads, secure handling of patient data, and communications that stay up under load.
Hardware
We supplied and deployed roughly a dozen HP business workstations and all-in-one systems for reception, reporting, and clinical areas.
Network and security
The practice received a Fortinet high-availability network design, tied to Trucell’s hosted FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer. Wi-Fi was delivered with FortiAP, and Ubiquiti UniFi Protect cameras added site visibility. Together, these layers harden edge and internal access without getting in the way of clinical staff.
Clinical systems and displays
Voyager RIS and PACS were implemented with both on-premise and cloud paths via Ripple Networks, aimed at resilience and uptime. LG diagnostic monitors were sourced and configured for consistent imaging review. More on clinical display programmes: Medical displays.
Connectivity and voice
We implemented 3CX with Ripple Networks SIP trunking for telephony, plus fibre primary connectivity with NBN backup so outages are less likely to isolate the practice.
Ongoing operations
Trucell’s proactive scope covers desktops, servers, printers, and network infrastructure, supports modality integration, and includes network segmentation and security policy design. We worked with LG on diagnostic monitor calibration, and delivered standardised Windows images with tooling for firmware lifecycle management.
Summary
This project is a full-stack example: clinical-grade infrastructure, vendor coordination, and managed operations suited to a busy radiology environment.
If you are planning a new site or refresh and need IT, networking, and imaging workflows aligned from day one, request a fit-out consult. We will map scope, risks, and a sensible rollout.
